Terra Alta is a rural region, deep in the countryside, where a network of peaceful roads winds through charming and welcoming villages, inhabited by people who are passionate about their region. Rich in olive oil and wine, you will discover a DO (Denomination of Origin) centered on Garnacha (white and red Grenache). Its typical Catalan cuisine also makes it a popular place. When you’re on a self-guided tour, you should feel comfortable changing a flat tire, as it’s a common occurrence when cycling. You’ll receive GPX files along with all the routes available on Ride With GPS, detailed instructions, and recommendations. In the rare event of a bike breakdown or mechanical issue that requires more than just a repair, you’ll have detailed contact information with emergency phone numbers to call for help in your language.
